Signature Eyebag Treatments

At Cienna Aesthetics, we understand that not all eyebags are the same. This is why it is important to establish a diagnosis of what causes the eyebag so that treatment can be customised accordingly.

Treatment Chart

Our Signature Eyebag treatment consist of 2 Phases:

Our Signature Eyebag treatment consist of 2 phases. In Phase 1, we aim to correct skin laxity and reduce excess fats. Typically, this phase we uses eye Threads, HIFU and Fotona lasers.
Once the skin laxity improves and fat protrusion is reduced, then we will proceed to Phase 2 using dermal fillers to replenish lost volume around the eye.

By taking a tailored approach to each individual case, we ensure that our patients achieve the best possible results.

Phase 1

Phase 2

1. Fillers

The human eye is supported by 3 main deep fat compartments such as the medial and lateral suborbicularis oculi fat and deep medial cheek fat. Deflation of these deep fat compartments will result in loss of support, resulting in eyebag formation.

Dermal filler is a good treatment option to replace deep fats compartments. Dermal fillers with higher G prime will be used to augment the mid cheek while those with lower G prime will be used to fill the undereye area and tear trough.

Dermal fillers around the eye are one of the most challenging yet fulfilling treatments. It requires specific fillers and skill set to achieve the best results.

2. Botulinum toxin

Botulinum toxin is the only ‘Gold standard” treatment to relax muscles that causes wrinkles around the eyes. It can be used to treat crows feet, lower eye wrinkles, bunny lines, frown lines and orbiculares oculi hypertrophy.

Hypertrophy of orbiculares oculi can sometimes be confused as being an eyebag as it is situated at the similar location as a true eyebag. The only treatment needed will be botulinum toxin alone.

3. Lasers

Sp Dynamis Laser

There are many type of laser in the market. But one of the best laser to treat eyebag is SP Dynamis laser. It is a unique laser platform with 2 types of lasers namely Nd Yag and Erbium Yag.

SmoothEye®

SmoothEye® targets the sagging eye bags and lessens their appearance in addition to tightening the skin of the upper and lower eyelids. It can also be applied to the conjunctival side of the lower lid.

The Dynamis Pro SMOOTH®

The Dynamis Pro SMOOTH® mode treats the skin in an almost feather-like non-ablative manner using precisely controlled temperature deposition without the risk of burns or bruising.

The rapid, regulates surface tissue heating promotes neocollagenesis and collagen remodelling.

With minimal to no downtime and maximum patient comfort, SmoothEye® dramatically tightens loose, aged skin of the eyelids and periocular region. Additionally, venous stasis-related dark under-eye circles can be improved by this method as well.

4D SP Dynamis Pro

Another treatment by Dynamis Pro is 4D lasers, it helps to rejuvenate all the layers of skin as well as stimulate collagen production to support structures around the eye which reduces eyebag appearance.

4. HIFU

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound uses precise, medical-grade ultrasound to stimulate collagen at up to 4 separate levels of the skin for non-surgical skin tightening.

The three primary causes that worsen the appearance of eyebags—muscle and ligamentous laxity, thin skin, and excess fat in the lower eye area—are targeted and treated by this multifaceted method.

20-30 minute Session

For both eyes, an eye bag reduction takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete. You can immediately see the result after just one HIFU treatment session.

4-8 Weeks Downtime

The skin tightening effect will gradually improve over the course of 4-8 weeks as more collagen is produced.

5. Threads

Eye bags can be treated with the minimally invasive thread lift procedure called Derma Spring Eye.

The method makes use of the extremely biocompatible Polydioxanone (PDO) threads which are made specifically for the area around the eyes. The threads are inserted via an entry point created by a sharp needle.

This non-surgical eye bag removal method boosts major growth factors and collagen production, renewing the skin with cellular-level lifting and tightening benefits.

Other benefits of these eye threads include:

The effects of threads are gradual, with the main lifting effects becoming apparent over 1- 4 months post-procedure. Sometimes, touch-ups are necessary for better, longer-lasting results.

6. Thermage

Thermage is a popular treatment for eyes that uses radiofrequency waves to tighten skin around the eye area. It can help reduce wrinkles, crow's feet, and other signs of aging. The procedure is relatively quick and usually requires no downtime or recovery period afterwards.

Thermage is beneficial for the area around the eyes since it targets delicate tissue without traumatizing it, leaving no visible signs of treatment. It can also be used to treat crow’s feet and under eye bags with significant success.
